(Because it has been too long since the last blog entry, here's a post from Facebook I entered two days ago after returning home.)
Took off this morning from LaGuardia Airport, Rockaway and the Atlantic
Ocean shining off to my right. The New York November light led the way
as we rose and turned on our way to Texas. Lunch in Houston then an on
time take-off for the flight home to San Diego. Three hours later, the
southern end of the California Coast came into view right before we
descended over the city to land on the edge of the shining Pacific,
backlit by the setting sun.
Even though long distance air travel is routine, I continue to be thrilled by the mobility I hope we never take for granted.
